It was a red hot fashion moment as Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor Ahuja stepped out in a Sue Mue ensemble for film promotions ahead of the launch of her newest Bollywood flick, The Zoya Factor.
Scheduled to release this month, the fun romance directed by Abhishek Sharma is based on a book by bestselling author Anuja Chauhan, and stars Sonam in the lead role as Zoya.
Sonam wore a striking ensemble called ‘Kalini’ from Sue Mue’s Autumn-Winter 2019 collection Banarsia while promoting the film in Mumbai.
Made in scarlet raw silk, the fit-and-flare angrakha has been hand-embroidered using the zardozi technique, with brocade sleeves and ankle-length pants giving it a contemporary touch.
Sue Mue’s Banarsia collection is inspired by the ancient textile heritage of the world’s oldest city, Banaras. The looks in this collection are designed for the modern woman who cherishes heritage while staying true to her own individuality.
Sonam published several photos of herself on social media in her Sue Mue ensemble, styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor. Rhea had accessorised the look with a necklace by Sunita Kapoor, and a ring and bag by Amrapali Jewels. The photos – which reached 50 million followers through Sonam’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts – were shot by The House of Pixels headed by Apeksha Maker and Vaishnav Praveen.
