Bold, bright and beautiful. Sue Mue’s latest collection for Spring-Summer 2018 is the story of a garden and a woman living life to her fullest potential.
Inspired by wucai five-coloured Chinese porcelain pottery, the patterns used across the collection are a play of geometric harmony evocative of nature and the freshness of ripe flowers. Using a combination of floral hues like red, green, imperial yellow and cobalt blue balanced out with white, off-white and light beige, the pieces in the collection speak of finesse and femininity.
Intricate thread work based on ancient pottery motifs and details such as Mandarin collars lend an air of Oriental daintiness and structure. The silhouettes are cosmopolitan and versatile in nature: dresses that can also be worn as tops, short anarkalis with ankle-length pants. Silk organza lends a fresh translucency, handloom cotton gives a comfortable vibe, and flowy georgette and pure linen set the mood for a soothing summer.
Motifs of cherry blossoms and trails of delicate vines on the bright coloured fabrics remind you that spring is in the air. Step out and bloom.
