One For The Road
We here you are off to a holiday. But before you rush into it, we would like to quickly run you through the brand new travel wardrobe at Sue Mue.
Our design team’s top tip for getting dressed this winter: Layer, layer, layer. Since it is predicted to be a seriously cold winter, wear fabrics that ensure you are covered and cozy.
Inspired by the intricate Aztec and Native American prints, our design team chose to fuse it with Indian textiles.
Experiment with colour, choose olive green and pair it with hints of beige, violet, black, red and navy.
“The idea was to be free-spirited in relaxed cuts and fringed hems,” says Mohita Gujral, Managing Director-Sue Mue in Green Park. “We wanted to create a look resonating with today’s modern Indian woman. We chose fabrics like jersey and cotton jersey to give a very classy, modern and global feel to the collection.”
Free-spirited vibes in relaxed cuts.
Travel stress free, in easy ponchos, breezy capes.
Play dress up with our exclusive handcrafted silver jewellery.
As compared to the previous prêt collections, our Holiday Collection is like a breath of fresh air. While creating the range, we kept in mind that you would be busy holidaying and may want to slip from the day to night look in a jiffy.
You have, thus, the option of layering the top with a dress; a pair of trousers; or a sleeveless, polo-neck midi. Once can also easily slip into a new look using a stole or scarf or even a shawl. For those balmy moments under the winter sun, use a hat.
Taking inspiration from native american aesthetics.
One can’t help notice the fringes, the detailing on the front and back of the garments and specially the ghunghroo buttons in the last look.
“We have also used gold buttons on the collars and it is just gorgeous,” saysMohita. “The loose, cape sleeves which are attached to the bodice make them both wearable and chic.”
Channel your inner 80s diva with statement buttons.
The best outcome of the collection is the freedom to team colours with olive green. “Go all out trying combinations and mixes such as beige, white, black, navy blue, red and why even gold. We have recently introduced a brand new range of pure silver jewellery and here we have displayed some of them. The 80’s-influenced accessories are strongly inspired by the utilitarian trend in which you have those aspects of big gold buttons that are ornate and not functional.”
